First Half
Milton Keynes went into the lead 4 minutes from the final whistle and stole the game from under the noses of Beaconsfield by 1 point.
From the start of the first half it was as if Milton Keynes had left their heads in the changing rooms, as they allowed Beaconsfield to take an 8 point lead within 5 minutes,
with a penalty and an unconverted try. The visitors settled down and started to play their way back into the game. On 30 minutes Milton Keynes had a forward yellow carded for lying on the ball in a ruck 5 metres from the MK line, with the home side having the advantage of the extra man they ran in another try, the conversion missed the half ended with Milton Keynes trailing by 13 points.

Second Half
Second half and 5 minutes in, it was Beaconsfield that were shown the dreaded yellow card, and from the replay Milton Keynes took their first points with an all team effort finished off by scrum half Dan Pearson, and a great conversion from Phil Powell, Milton Keynes closed the gap to 6 points. Milton Keynes were now within sight of stealing the game from Beaconsfield, the home side started to lose their composure and just before the first carded player could return, the referee used the yellow card again this time to Beaconsfield prop for constantly pulling down the scrum, from the resulting penalty Milton Keynes kicked for the corner and from the line out, executed a great rolling maul with Ashley Hill getting the touchdown, conversion missed the score moved on to 13---12 to Beaconsfield. On 25 minutes the home side were awarded a penalty for offside in front of the posts, and Beaconsfield moved on to 16----12, now with 10 minutes remaining Milton Keynes were on the rampage to score a try, first they were offered a kickable penalty which Phil Powell took and missed, Beaconsfield moved up to attack and narrowly missed a drop goal, Milton Keynes back on the attack again and with just 4 minutes to go the three-quarters put a great move together, Mads Jenson from the wing went on a jinking run making good yards, with inter passing, the ball came back to Mads Jenson to score. For the first time in the game Milton Keynes went into the lead 16----17 and after a frantic last couple of minutes ran out winners.
