May 2010 Update
The shell is now complete and the contractor is now starting the fit out. We will be the only junior club in Bucks with underfloor heating in the changing rooms, such luxury. We are on target for a late July completion.
January 2010 Update

Late December 2009 Update
MKRUFC and D5 had a onsite meeting to review some of the plans for the interior fit out.
As the first snows of December fell on the site, we walked from the portacabins across the rain soaked site to the new pavillon...the first time since the ground breaking ceremony that we had the chance to go onsite. The building is coming along as planned and the photos below show the view from the first floor, and what will become the club room.
The building work continues on the EV Sports Pavillion and the floors are now down. Good progess is being made by the builders, Deejak Ltd.
The next site meeting is Thursday 17th december to review the building project progress and also discuss the fit out for the Kitchen, Bar and Lounge area.
Fundraising continues to achieve the monies needed to equip the facility, and the target date for handover still remains the summer of 2010.
Next update due on 7th January 2010, after the next review meeting with MKC and MKRUFC.

December 2009 Update
After many years of talk, we finally have some action at Emerson Valley. The pitches have now been fully prepared and maintained. It’s an impressive sight to see such a large field with so few weeds – unlike Field Lane!
The construction of the building has now started. The metal framework is in place and it is now a matter of building around the construction. The completion of the work is expected to be around June 2010, but this will, in effect be a shell with the Club expected to provide the fixtures, furniture and fittings. It is anticipated that £100,000 will required to achieve this. We are aiming to complete numerous money raising events to go towards the new clubhouse. So far the club has raised about a third of what is required.
We would like to thank Milton Keynes Council and the RFU for the financial assistance in the move. Without their input, Emerson Valley would not have been achieved.

October 2009 Update
Building work by Deejack Ltd has started on the new site and sports pavillion, and future home of MKRUFC. The planned completion date being Summer 2010.
From the attached photo you can just make out that the over-site and footings are now in place. The next major development will be the erection of the steelwork, in the coming weeks. The car park over-site and wider ground works are prepared for the next steps.
Our next meetings with MKC are on 23rd October 2009, and a further more detailed update will follow thereafter.
Emerson Valley Project Overview
In 2005 MKRUFC voted to look at options to move facilities from our present Field Lane site, with a view to significantly upgrading both facilities and infrastructure, and provide improved opportunities for rugby in the MK area. Working with the local authorities (Milton Keynes council) and the
RFU (at national and county level) we have secured a facility at the new Emerson Valley community sports pavilion, due to be ready by the summer of 2010.
This will be a community sports facility, where Milton Keynes Rugby club will be the prime resident tenant. The new state-of-the-art sports based community centre will include 8 changing rooms, 4 pitches (one with training floodlights), bar area, function room and offices. There will be car parking for 110 cars and a high specification modern club house.
This new development will give MKRUFC one of the best (if not the best) grounds in the district and will be a spring board for improved rugby and more opportunity for the children of Milton Keynes. Like all developments of this nature, this did not happen by chance and we would like to thank all those people who have helped to make it happen (too many to name in person). I would also like to extend my kind wishes of support to the RFU for endorsing this project, and sharing our vision.
Expected Timeline for Completion
August 2009: Building Work Starts
June 2010: Building Work Completed
July 2010: Handover
August 2010: MKRUFC Occupy
September 2010: First Matches at Emerson Valley
We will provide further updates as and when they become available.
